Dancer agreement: 

• In being on the RCDT I agree to be solely committed and will not be on any other dance teams, crews, troupes,companies etc. 
• I agree to attend my technique classes each week. I acknowledge that technique is an important component of my performance training. 
• I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to attend competitive classes on a regular basis. I acknowledge that instructors have been asked to strictly enforce the “three strikes' ' rule, whereby any student missing more than three classes, including for medical reasons, will be asked to leave the program. No refunds will be provided. 
• I acknowledge that it's my responsibility to meet these attendance requirements and that I will not ask the director to make exceptions.
• I agree to come to class on time, in proper attire and footwear, including hair tied completely off of my face and with a positive attitude, I agree that I will behave appropriately in the classroom and acknowledge that competitive classes are hard work and require that I give the instructor my complete attention at all times.
• I agree to practice skills and choreography at home as directed by the teachers. 
• I acknowledge that electronic devices (e.g. Phones, cameras, laptops, etc) are not permitted during practices. Teachers reserve the right to take these devices away from students until the end of class. 
• I acknowledge that instructors may use a recording device to film practices as part of the training program. 
• I agree that any slander towards RDCT, staff, students or parents will not be tolerated this includes on social media. If this is done I acknowledge that I will be asked to leave the program. No refunds will be given. NO EXCEPTIONS I agree to be respectful of my teammates during rehearsals, competitions, performances, and anywhere outside of the Reality Competitive Dance Team(this includes but is not limited to social media. 
• I agree to be respectful of my teammate’s equipment and or possessions. I will not take items that do not belong to me from my teammates or from my dance studio. 
• I agree to attend any and all competitions chosen by the director for RDCT to attend. The 2024 - 2025 competitions are on the year at a glance. 
• I agree that I will behave appropriately and in a sportsmanlike manner as a member of the RDCT at all competitions and public events.

Parent/Guardian Obligations: 

• I acknowledge that I am required to pay competition class instruction fees, costume fees and competition entry fees. I agree to pay these fees by their designated due dates. 
• I acknowledge that it is important for my dancer to attend class, be on time for each class and attend all three competitions selected by the directors. 
• I acknowledge that any dancer missing more than three technique or competitive classes, including for medical reasons, will be required to leave the program and that no refund will be issued. 
• I acknowledge that dancers may be asked to leave the RDCT without any refund issued due to persistent behavior or attitude problems, which may include but are not limited to: inattention during class, lack of respect for teacher, staff or teammates, any negative social media slander, unsportsmanlike conduct or lack of effort at rehearsals or competitions. 
• I acknowledge that instructors or the director may use a recording device to film rehearsals as part of our training program. 
• I acknowledge that competitions are sometimes run during a school day or on a school night and it may be necessary for my child to miss part of a school day in order to participate. 
• I further acknowledge that competitive schedules are not issued by competition organizers until approximately 2 weeks in advance of the event.  I agree to remain with my child at competitions to ensure that my child is properly supervised at all times. 
• I agree to ensure my child has all components of his/her competitive costume at all competitions. This includes all pieces of each costume and props. Hair styles and makeup requirements will be determined by instructors and communicated in advance of the first competition. Dancers must provide makeup or hair accessories (I.e. Eye shadow, blush, bronzer, mascara, lipstick, false lashes, bobby pins, elastic so, hair spray, hair gel, etc.). Dancers are encouraged to label each item.
